2025 Community Meeting Feedback

Aging Well Arizona is a collaborative focusing on dementia, Alzheimer’s, brain health, and wellbeing.

In January 2025, Aging Well Arizona hosted a community meeting of various stakeholders. In addition to recognizing our recent Dementia Friendly Flagstaff designation, our group welcomed speakers to discuss solutions and challenges related to our efforts.

The November 2023 Event

After our initial meeting in November 2023, a group of volunteers worked to help Flagstaff earn a Dementia Friendly Community status in 2024.

The Northern Arizona Alzheimer’s Disease Association (NAZADA) is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias through advocacy, education, and services.

The Northern Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority (NARBHA) is committed to improving mental health and behavioral health services across Northern Arizona, including support for dementia care and related initiatives.


About Dementia Friendly America:
Dementia Friendly America (DFA) is a national initiative aimed at creating supportive communities for individuals living with dementia and their families. DFA works with local communities to foster environments that enhance quality of life and improve accessibility to resources.
